The Third Conference, which took place on 13 and 14 February
2008, dealt with the subject of “Las imágenes de la memoria:
metodología, interpretación y gestión de fuentes audiovisuales”
(“Images of memory: methodology, interpretation and management
of audiovisual sources”). On this occasion, besides the
customary speeches and debates, the conference offered the
opportunity to present papers. The speeches and paper
presentation sessions focused on the following topics:
authorship, rights and ethical and social issues concerning the
uses of images; the conservation and management of images; and
the latest social research possibilities regarding audiovisual
sources.
These bases gave rise to a wide variety of aspects to deal with,
which eventually were structured into four thematic sessions.
The first session was devoted to “Metodología, gestión y uso de
imágenes” (“Methodology, management and use of images”), the
second focused on “Las fuentes audiovisuales en archivos, museos
y bibliotecas” (“Audiovisual sources in archives, museums and
libraries”), the third dealt with “Conservación y restauración
de imágenes” (“Conservation and restoration of images”), and the
fourth and final session was entitled “Memoria, Identidad y
Fuentes Audiovisuales” (“Memory, Identity and Audiovisual
Sources”).
